sample2_certified.gif7 Sept 2005: The Nera Satcom manufactured DVB-RCS terminals SatLink 1000 and SatLink 1910 have successfully passed the SatLabs Qualification Program. This is an important milestone in the qualification of interoperability among commercial DVB-RCS products.

As the first DVB-RCS equipment manufacturer in the world, Nera SatCom received the SatLabs Certificate of Compliance on the 5th Sept 2005, verifying that its broadband satellite terminals comply with the DVB-RCS standard and can interoperate with other DVB-RCS based satellite equipment.

The Nera Satcom DVB-RCS terminals were succesfully tested against the mandatory ATM profile and a number of options including the MPEG profile defined by the icon_pdf.gif Qualification Test Plan (pdf, 637 kb). The test plan itself is based on the SatLabs System Recommendations.

Cetecom, the SatLabs Qualification Laboratory, performed the qualification test using the SatLabs Qualification Test Bed.

Following the launch of the SatLabs Qualification Program in June 2005, Nera Satcom's DVB-RCS terminals are the first to achieve the “Qualified Products” status. When a terminal has successfully passed the tests defined in the SatLabs Qualification Program, a Certificate of Compliance is granted and the terminal is defined as a "Qualified Product".
