Dear SatLabs Subscriber,

The SatLabs newsletter may have been silent for a while but the SatLabs Group has completed many key activities, as reflected in the various News Items below.

Most importantly, the two flagship programs of SatLabs, phase 2 terminal certification and hub verification are now active and first testing should start soon. Have a look at the latest set of SatLabs System Recommendations (v1.3 and v2.1) and the latest SatLabs Terminal Test Plan. They show the new breadth of interoperable functionality for DVB-RCS terminals.

Furthermore, SatLabs has been the main driver behind the recent initiative of the DVB Group to initiate work on the Next Generation of DVB-RCS specifications. Following initial work by SatLabs, the DVB Commercial Module approved a new set of commercial requirements that will allow the Next Generation of DVB-RCS to become the undisputed standard for all future satellite broadband networks, and in particular be the most efficient solution for new multibeam satellite systems and consumer broadband networks.

SatLabs is fully committed to supporting these future developments and is looking forward to a bright future for DVB-RCS !

Kind regards,

Your SatLabs Team
